I got the title from a review of a Keanu Reeves movie that takes place in Russia or somewhere near there. It was written by a non-native English speaker who took umbrage with the depiction of his land in the movie. I loved the flow of the words so I wrote it down where I write all the strange phrases I come across that excite me: on a clown painting that I got from my friend Trevor when I helped him move.

Fun facts: his aunt painted this painting decades ago. It is hanging on my studio AND also on the album cover for this record along with most of the gear I used to make this record.

There are songs about:
marital strife
a first person narrative about a music making collective that falls apart
being scared of the dark as a kid and social situations as an adult.
helping to cover up horrible crimes because friendship is important but also nothing bad happens to white collar criminals (the Michael Cohen hearings inspired this one)
enjoying sensual carnal pleasure with BBWs
and a few others with cryptic/surreal/violent lyrics that may or may not be what you think they're about (but probably are. I'll never tell)
